This page explains what information Woolboo collects when you visit woolboo.com, buy something or join our email list, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. If anything here is unclear, email support@woolboo.com.
Who we are
Woolboo is the shop name of Shenzhen Xinghanwei Technology Co., Ltd. (深圳市星瀚维科技有限公司). In this policy, “Woolboo”, “we” and “us” mean that company.
- Company: Shenzhen Xinghanwei Technology Co., Ltd., trading as Woolboo
- Address: 7B, Unit B, Building 11, Yinyue Zhisheng Garden, No. 1 Songyuan Road, Zhonghai Yicui Community, Jihua Subdistrict, Longgang District, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China
- Registration number: 91440300MAKJR0NE9E
- Contact: support@woolboo.com. We usually reply within 2 business days.
What we collect
- When you buy something: your name, email address, billing details, and what you ordered. We also need a delivery address and, if you give one, a phone number.
- If you create an account: your login details and your order history. Accounts run on WooCommerce.
- If you join the email list: your email address, the date you signed up and whether you opened or clicked our emails. We use the MailPoet plugin for this.
- When you email us: whatever you put in your message, so we can help.
- When you browse: technical details such as your IP address, browser and device type, plus the pages you view. Some of this is collected through cookies (see below).
We do not see or store your full card number. Payments are handled by Creem (see below).
Why we use it
- To take your payment and post your order.
- To answer questions and help with your order.
- To send shop news, but only if you have signed up for it.
- To understand which pages and products people look at, so we can improve the site. This happens only if you accept analytics cookies.
- To prevent fraud and to keep the records the law requires.
Payments: Creem is the Merchant of Record
Payments are processed by Creem, acting as Merchant of Record. Creem is the seller on your receipt and is responsible for collecting and paying any VAT, GST or sales tax due on your purchase. Your card or wallet statement may show Creem rather than Woolboo. Creem receives the details it needs to take the payment and handles them under its own privacy policy. Woolboo is responsible for your order, its delivery and customer support.
Cookies and analytics
We use a cookie banner (CookieYes) so you can choose which cookies are allowed.
- Necessary cookies keep the cart, checkout, login and security working. These are always on.
- Google Analytics (GA4) shows us how the site is used. Analytics storage is off by default and only switches on if you accept optional cookies.
- Microsoft Clarity helps us see where pages are confusing. With your consent it uses cookies; without consent it may run in a limited mode that does not set Clarity cookies.
You can change your choice at any time with the cookie button on the site. More detail is on our Cookie Policy page.
Our email list
We only email you if you sign up. Expect a short note when something new is ready, and not much else. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can write to support@woolboo.com and we will remove you. Sign-ups are stored on our own website through MailPoet, and the emails are sent from our website’s own mail server (SMTP), not through a separate mailing service.
Who else handles your data
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that help us run the shop:
- Creem: payments, tax and receipts (Merchant of Record)
- Hostinger: website hosting
- MailPoet: newsletter sign-ups, stored on our own site
- Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity: site statistics, only with your consent
- CookieYes: records your cookie choice
- The tracked international post or courier service that delivers your parcel
Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in China, where Woolboo is based, and in the United States. Each of them handles your data under its own privacy terms.
How long we keep it
- Order and tax records: 7 years, for tax and accounting.
- Accounts: until you ask us to delete them.
- Email list: until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics data: according to each tool’s default settings. For Google Analytics that is 14 months.
- Support emails: as long as we need them to sort out your question. If they relate to an order, we keep them with that order’s records.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it for emails. Write to support@woolboo.com from the address you used with us. Some order records may have to be kept where the law requires it. If you are in the UK or EU, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
You need to be at least 16 to buy from us or join our email list, or older if the age of digital consent is higher where you live. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you think a child has given us their details, email us and we will delete them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Big changes will also be mentioned to people on the email list.
