Description
Grumpy Puppy stands about 18 cm tall on long legs, with a heavy brow, a very long snout and a hoodie he does not look thrilled about. The whole expression comes down to where the eyelids sit above the eyes, and the pattern walks you through placing them.
Legs and body are worked as one piece in a continuous spiral, so there is no seam around the hips. Fine floral wire goes into the ears and pipe cleaners into the arms and legs — that is what lets you set the pose and keep the long ears from drooping out of shape.
The hoodie, shorts and shoes are separate pieces that come on and off. The pattern also includes an alternate green colourway using exactly the same construction; only the yarn colours change.

Safety
This doll contains internal wire, craft glue and 6 mm beads, so it is a display piece rather than a toy for a young child. For a child-safe version, leave the wire out and embroider the eyes instead of using beads.
