Description
Purple Mushroom Friend is a small crocheted character with a wide, ruffled cap and a tiny crossbody bag. The whole doll is worked in white chenille — every bit of purple you see is soft artist pastel, brushed on in light layers once the piece is finished. It means you don’t need a shelf of coloured yarn to make one, and it is the part of this pattern most makers end up enjoying most.
The outer round of the cap can take a length of covered craft wire, which lets you bend the ruffle into whatever wave you like. It is optional — the cap holds its shape without it.

Safety
The 3 mm plastic safety eyes and the craft wire make this unsuitable for children under 3. For a child-safe version, embroider the eyes and leave the wire out.
